FAQS

What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is a constantly varied, intense and functional workout. The CrossFit training program incorporates elements from Olympic lifting (weightlifting), powerlifting, kettlebell sport, gymnastics and and fitness training.

A CrossFit workout consists of functional movements involving as many muscle groups as possible, such as lifting, throwing, pulling, climbing, running and jumping.

At CrossFit Ninjas in The Hague you train in a group under the guidance of one or more expert coaches. The coaches make sure you perform the exercises correctly, motivate you during the workout and give you advice on what else you can do besides CrossFit to get healthy and fit.

I have no experience with fitness or CrossFit, can I still participate?

Yes, everyone is able to CrossFit. During the WOD (Workout of the Day) we will adjust the intensity of the exercises to your level. If an exercise is not appropriate, we will adjust the exercise without changing the pattern of the exercise.

If you start with CrossFit, join the technique class on Wednesday evening. During this technique class you will learn the 9 basic movements of CrossFit and get explanations about common exercises and techniques. The goal of these lessons is that during the workouts you have the right technique to perform the exercises properly.

Is CrossFit safe?

Yes, CrossFit is safe. Under professional guidance, you first learn the technique of the movements and only when you move safely and effectively, we let you load the movement through speed or weight.

Do I always have to register for a training?

Yes, you must register (online, or in app) for every workout and for the Open Gym. You can register for a training until 5 minutes before the training starts. If you cannot make it to the training, you can unsubscribe up to 1 hour before the training starts. This way we still have enough time to send an email to any members on the waiting list.

How long does a training session last?

Maximum 60 minutes unless otherwise indicated.
